For my Sawdust Art Festival poster, I was inspired by the Plakatstil (German poster style) during the Pre-Modernism period. Their flat graphics and bold colors create a very eye-catching composition. During that time it was done with paper cut-outs, I went digital and created a flat graphic poster.

Dachshunds 101

For my infographic, I explained unique facts about Dachshunds. As I was creating, I started with 11 x 17". I had to extend the length of the dachshund illustration another 5 inches to fit all of my information. This artwork was inspired by my lovely dachshund, Bandit.

ART 123 - Savala
In ART123 we just completed the 30 day Project during the month of March. I did 30 logos and this piece is one of my favorites. I chose to recreate the logo for "Almost Home", an animal rescue. I implemented closure, a Gestalt principle to create an eye-catching composition.
