Native American Mount Rushmore
Air Dry Clay
art 160 - mccauley
We were given an assignment on sculpting a piece that would hypothetically be submitted for the Fourth Plinth in London's Trafalgar Square. I thought since the other plinths had George IV and other sculptures depicting their history, it really needed more of a representation of who America belonged to before the British. I think the Native Americans sculpted on Mount Rushmore are a more suiting fit for our country, considering this mountain is on Native American land and the Native American's are so in touch with the land. My timeline is going from right to left, starting with Pocahontas, then Sacagawea, Sitting Bull and finally Geronimo.

I sculpted this sea star out of polymer clay and painted with acrylic paints. I love sea life and thought this would be lovely to create.
