Effervescent
Acrylic
ART 202 - Metzger
This piece was from a series of paintings based on a number of homeless people I had come into contact with while at a previous job working outside sales. This specific painting was based on a man I would speak to regularly while working at our home base. He was extremely positive and upbeat despite his hardships. I wanted to capture his jovial essence in this piece.

Burnout
Acrylic
ART 120 - Tavonatti
This painting was a basic painting exercise with a limited palette. We could use up to three colors that sat next to one another on the color wheel. I chose to use violet, red-violet, and red. The assignment was fairly open ended, we were to design a piece that incorporated text. I decided to take the theme and create a portraiture that reflected the sort of mental-slog that was occurring while adjusting to lockdown.

White Charcoal on Black Paper
ART 186 - Dowdalls

This entry was another piece from the four part life drawing final. It was a bit of a mind bender during the process since all the values are essentially reversed from a standard charcoal drawing on white paper, but it was a lot of fun to get into.
