This work explores the lingering, though ever present, connection to my Catholic upbringing. What once felt serious and scary is now something I prefer to poke fun at while being lighthearted. The inspiration came from religious altarpieces. I replaced what would be a saint or religious figure with what makes me happy, a cat.
