This is my Frottage/Collage Drawing & Tromp I' oeil Painting in my Basic Design class. This time I decided to use the roses and the traditional face cream that she used to use many years ago to describe my idea. I have wanted to draw my mom since I was so young but I do not have good drawing skill about human figure. However, I finally found the way to "put" my mom into my art!

My mom is a tailor, she has been working for over 30 years. She is the inspiration for this painting. On the other hand, this is the first time I used color to describe the light from the nature and the electric. This is one of my favorite painting because it helps me to remember my mom and also I love the vibe that the painting brings to me everyday when I look at it.
